Self defense is allowed. He never pointed his weapon at anyone until they had backed Rosenberg backed him into a corner and attempted to steal his rifle.

At that point his muzzle was pointed at someone that was bent on his taking his life. his muzzle discipline was perfect.

Again when another attempted to knock him unconscious his muzzle was trained, for his self protection on the attacker.

The only flaw in his muzzle discipline was when the third pursuer, with gun in hand, dodged left and was only hit in the arm.

Self defense is allowed, but this wasn't self defense. All the prosecution has to do is point out that his mom drove him there with his gun and the self defense argument just collapses. If a situation is threatening to you personally, you don't get your mom to drive you there. Wisconsin requires a person to deescalate a situation if it will avoid violence. And he got his mom to drive him there.

Self defense will not work as a legal argument. Not in Wisconsin. It's not going to happen. No chance. It was not self defense. Charges are reckless homicide, intentional homicide, and attempted intentional homicide - we are completely free to call it murder.

He did not initiate the attack, therefore self defense.

That's not the rubric for self defense. Could he have avoided that whole situation?

Yes. He was not invited. Nobody asked him to be there. He even got his mom to drive him there. Therefore, he created that situation himself, therefore not self defense. You have not addressed the relevant question and you would make a horrible lawyer.

Self defense applys to anywhere you happen to be, he did not initate any violence, he was attacked. Period. Full stop.
