The whisper quietly continues as Jacob questions what the heck it's doing there...
". . . t o u c h . . . t h e . . . h e a r t . . ."

Jacob: Ummm * Goes closer to the crystal * I would suspect some furry sh*t but this ain't a lab

Jacob: I'll do it anyway * Touches it *

The moment Jacob touched it, everything started glitching uncontrollably, like one of those scenes in a fnaf song or something.
Everything continued glitching until a different cave was revealed...
It seemed WAY less eerie and more wholesome. It was the same cave, except it was all made out of beautiful gems of all kinds...

Jacob: I . . . I don't know what I expected, guess it is better than turning into a furry

Everything shined and shimmered, and it looked like the most beautiful thing you've EVER seen.

The crystal was still in the center of the area, but this time, it was back up, hovering in a circle slowly. It made a soft "mmmm" noise as if it was doing or making something.

Jacob: whoa

Their(idk pronouns) voice echoed throughout the cave...

Jacob: hm

There was a moment of silence, before there was some distant klinking of what could be rocks and/or glass hitting against each other...

Jacob: !!!

The klinking was accompanied by a couple of male voices(only 2), speaking in a language Jacob can't understand... They were clearly advancing into the cave

Jacob: * Hides somewhere *

It didn't take long before the men got to where Jacob was, somehow missing his hiding spot.

"Ereh si enoemos!!!" One said. "Meht draeh i!" the other responded.

Jacob just barely poked his head out, enough to see the men, but not enough for them to spot him.
These men looked like an exotic species... Their bodies were made out of gems... One was an Emerald, and the other was a Ruby. They wore helmets of amethyst, and a cloak over their gem-like bodies.
They carried spears of Amethyst, and had tails with tiny gems on the end.

Jacob: ???

"Raews i, ereh saw enoemos!" The ruby one said loudly.
"I know, I saw them too, Oot meht was i, wonk i," The Emerald one responded.
Jacob had no idea what they were saying, but it probably wasn't anything good-

Jacob: * Puts on headphone to be able to hear them in english *

"Come on!!! Their's here somewhere!!!" The Ruby one said
"I saw them! We must find them!" The emerald one responded

Jacob: - mind: Oh crap -

"Did you see what they look like?" The Emerald asked.
"An Outsider!!!" The Ruby replied.
The Emerald gasped. "Impossible!!! How did it get in???"
"I do not know."
"We must inform the princess!" The Emerald said quickly.
"We mustn't let it escape!" The Ruby told the Emerald. "It could be working for..." He went into a whisper, then the Ruby gasped.
"Him???"
The Emerald nodded.
"Then we must find it quickly!"

Jacob: - mind: The princess? -

The men quickly searched, STILL not finding him.
"It could be here to disable the dome!!!" The Emerald said.
"We can't let that happen!!!"

Jacob: - mind: How do I blend in?!?! -

As Jacob was trying to process what they WERE, and trying to think of how to blend in, when the Emerald found his hiding spot.
He pointed the amethyst spear at him. "Found it!!!" He called to the Ruby. And before he knew it, Jacob was trapped in between 2 amethyst spears, pointed at his neck.

Jacob: Uhhhhhhhhhhhh

"On your feet, outsider!!!" The Ruby demanded.
"And empty your pockets!" The Emerald added

Jacob: * there was nothing in his pockets except a flashlight and a pocket knife *

As expected, they took the flashlight and pocket knife, and started poking him with the spears.
"Move!" They ordered, as they both led Jacob outside the cave.

Jacob: * he did what they asked *

The men let Jacob outside, into a world of literal gems... The houses were made out of Amethyst, diamonds, gold, emeralds, Rose Quartz, all kinds of minerals! Even the SUN was a ball of gems!

The men led Jacob into a large yet beautiful, amethyst castle.

They brought him into the throne room, and presented to a beautiful female gem(an amethyst), who was sitting on the throne.

"An outsider found within the Cave of Light, you're majesty," the Ruby said, bowing.

The 'majesty' raised an eyebrow. "This must be another shapshifter working for Dextro."
(hint: give your argument to convince them that you're not a "shapshifter")

Jacob: I am not a shapeshifer, I have come from another world

The two men looked from you, to each other in confusion.

"I see..." The girl said. "And what would this... 'other world' be?"

Jacob: It is a place of people like me, in a form you are unknown to, I was traveling in a cave when I saw a shining crystal, I heard someone saying me to touch it, and I did. I was transported to this realm shortly after

Her eyes widened. "The Heart?"

Jacob: Yes

She relaxed back into her seat. "Let it go," she told the men.

"But Princess-"
"It's a shapshifter!" They started complaining.

"Silence!" The princess demanded. "I have spoken with the human. Release him."

There was a moment of silence before the guards let Jacob go.
"I apologize," the princess said. "Our royals are custom in their ways of keeping outsiders out of our land."

In the background, Jacob could hear the men whispering to themselves.
"a human? what's that?"
"Only the rulers know of them! ALthough I've heard rumors..."

Jacob: What have the rumors said?

The guards looked at Jacob in confusion.
"They do not understand your language," the princess told Jacob, then proceeded to translate for the guards.

After the translation, they answered Jacob's question.
"The rumors said that these 'humans' assert dominance by violence!" The emerald said. "And they vote on who is leader!"
"Disgusting," the ruby said.
"Yes, and it's said that these humans have 'tek-nol-gee' that they carry in their pockets!" the Emerald said. "I don't even know what that is!!!"

"Hm." The princess looked uninterested in these rumors. "They are unconfirmed. Do not believe words you hear out of someone's mouth unless either one of you can verify."

Jacob: All of the rumors they said are unfortunately true

The princess gave Jacob a look that clearly said "I know," but didn't say anything. Her face looked emotionless.
The Guards gasped, looking shocked.
"Unlawful!" The Ruby said.
"Disgusting!" The Emerald complained.

"Silence!" The Princess demanded. "Humans have their own customs! As do we. Do not offend our Creator's work! If I weren't so graceful, I'd be sending my own GUARDS to the dungeons!"

The Guards apologized to the princess.
"Now out of my throne room," she told them, and watched them leave.

"Apologise, human. They do not understand when to close their mouths."

Jacob: Same with us humans, to be honest, humans and your people are not to different, disgusted by customs not of there own,

"This I know," the princess said "The royals have passed down these stories of humans from generation to generation, since the beginning of the Earth. Only the leaders know of them. To everyone else they are a mystery."

"So how exactly DID you arrive in our realm, young human?" She asked.

Jacob: Well I touched the crystal, and everything around me was acting weird, then when it stopped I appeared in the cave here

"Hm... Interesting... This serves a problem..." She said. She stood up, and started walking(?) around Jacob. "Tell me, what is your name, human?"

Jacob: My name is Jacob

"Such an interesting name... I am Sol-rhya. Princess and ruler of this realm."

Jacob: Nice name

"Thank you."
She continued walking around him, her gem eyes looking all over him.
"Definitely not the Dextro kind... CLEARLY Not Celestian. You don't have the eyes of a shapshifter either."

Jacob: . . .

She stopped walking around him, and stared at the door for a moment.
"...so after centuries, we finally get a human again..." she said to herself

Jacob: Really?

She looked back at Jacob. "Indeed.

We were created by the same creator as you humans(here comes storytime and lore reveal OwO).

A long, long time ago, when the world was first created, we lived in peace with the animals and humans.
Our creator gave us very important rules...
"Do not touch the exotic creatures created from the ground," he instructed.
"You may eat from and plant and all fruit EXCEPT from the centered tree," he said.
We obayed his commands, and lived in peace.
But one day, the snake entered the garden, looking for trouble.
He questioned our Creator's words...
...He tricked the human...
...and she ate from the fruit of the centered tree...
She gave some to the man, and he ate it too...
Disobeying the Creator's rules, they became covered in sin.
They saw how beautiful we were...
...and touched one of us...
...the one that was touched went crazy, and almost killed the other...
Our creator became angry...
...he banished the humans from the garden...
...he cursed the snake...
....and moved us into a secret realm... a place void of humans...

Now we live here. Hidden from the humans.
Centuries have passed, and the humans have forgotten of our existence. But we have not. We know of them, but only the royals truly remember them...
The royals pass the stories down, from generation to generation, making the next swear to only tell the stories to the next in line... no one else..."

"You're the first we've gotten in a long while. Did any of the townsfolk see you?"

Jacob: I don't know

"Hm..." She thought for a moment. "Well, if they have, either they'll start panicking, thinking the Heart has been disabled, or think you're a shapeshifter that's here to see me."

Jacob: I guess

"From what you know, were others with you?" Sol-rhya asked

"Good. Hopefully, word won't get out to the Outlands that there's a human in our realm..."
