i agree that being gay is not righteous, but that sentence is very vaguely judgmental and thus extremely unhelpful. it also doesn’t communicate love. there are better ways of saying that

well it depends, if the person is just saying that just to nag, that’s annoying. if they’re viewing you as a valuable life that they don’t want to go to hell, that’s another thing. usually that will show tho, as a person who really cares for you will be looking out for you, whereas naggers are just gonna behave like siblings
