the u.s is tragic rn. The political divides are so sharp imho. Like around half of democrats and half of republicans would supporting splitting into two countries based on if it was a red state or a blue state.

eh. I dunno, man. I feel as if a country should try to be a mish-mash of many different cultures, skin colours, orientations, religions, etc. We should just try and raise less racists, not try and solve racism by making it so white people and black people live in different countries.

not the ones born in the US, which, off the top of my head, was the vast majority of the slave population. If I remember correctly, slaves stopped being imported from Africa around 1820, give or take a few years (you can look it up, it was in the constitution), but the trade continued in the US, so it's safe to assume (again, I don't have actual numbers on me) that most of the slaves were born in the the US by the time slavery was abolished

i heard a story about a kid who lived in nigeria and enjoyed his life before he was taken as a slave. Like, just because it wasn't as developed as other countries doesn't mean that people who lived there didn't like it.
