Me: Hold up I said medieval in the 1200's-

Me: This rp is in the 1500s.
The guy i'm rping with: *pulls out thing that wouldn't have existed back them*
Me: *ANGY Holly noises*

Me: Okay, you're in the 1300's, and you get pickpocketed, what did the theif take
The person i'm roleplaying with: MY IPHONE 13
Me: I said 1300's

Can you explain?

For example, I made a pirate RP that's set in the late 1600s and people kept using these modern guns that wouldn't have existed at the time.

I don’t understand why people use lightsabers and laser rifles in a time period where bows and swords are used. I mean, do they think that people in the 1700’s had access to time travel?

Ikr, I just ignore them

Technically I can do any time period rp with Hero, because I can have a version of him from another reality where he lived in that time period

If its on a different planet, it'll be different in general like gravity and...Just the logic behind some rps is ridiculous.

Well yeah, I guess, but...
I'm more of talking about the kinds of people that try to use modern/sci-fi characters and weapons in medieval roleplays, and stuff like that.

I mean...If its let's say the Victorian Era, then....why won't people stick to that time period, if they don't know much about it then they're can read?

...I saw this issue most recently when half of the people that commented on my pirate image, which takes place in the late 1600s, with some variation of 'I pull out my gun and shoot them' even though the kinds of guns they were using wouldn't exist for another 300 years.

Yea, I'm pretty sure if there was a gun. It probably would be a flintlock but I'm also pretty sure it was much later that it got invented.
Also just to mention, I do make mistakes a lot when typing sometimes so...just a headsup if anything sounds like it doesn't make sense.
