Actually, the farmers asked the guy in charge of the Australian military to do something about the emus so three soldiers with Lewis machine guns were sent to fight 20,000 emus and they had difficulty killing emus in round one and a few days later round two began and by then the soldiers learned the emus tactics and about 1,000 emus were killed before the operation was called off but the emus still won because around 10,000 rounds of ammunition were used up, meaning an average of 10 rounds were used per confirmed kill and there were still 19,000 emus left.
