It implies that we're going for a second term, it's been great now and we're gonna make it great once more :D

it implies it is not already great. You can’t make someone great “once more” if it is already great, that doesn’t make much sense.

I don't know what English class you've been to because it makes complete sense to everyone else..

not gonna go much further in this cuz it’s kinda dumb but, “make imgflip great *again*”. the again is what’s important, when you say “again”, that means it was great in the past, but is not now, and you intend to change that. This is why in 2020 Trump changes his slogan to “keep america great”. there would be the same problem...
