Ah yes. Now we are saying that upvoting every comment is "the right thing." No it isn't! This isn't a restaurant where we have to tip the waiter or waitress. It's an meme website.

Where is this whole thing about feelings coming from? Who is actively being hurt when I decide that I don't want to upvote a comment? If someone is so butthurt that a guy didn't upvote his comment, then it's probably time for that guy to go off the internet and get a real life.
If you want to upvote comments, then go ahead. I won't try and stop you. More power to you. But if you're going to tell me that it's rude to not upvote every single comment that I get on a meme or that I reply to, I'm gonna pull up the middle finger. I'm upvoting comments on my own standards, and you can upvote comments on your standards as well.
