(something i learned)
-try to use the atmosphere of the drawing, for example, for a bit more detailed one, use thin lines and try NOT to do chiken scratches, use confident lines. and for bit more cutesy and soft, use a thicker size.
-keep flipping the canvas (if traditional, pencil and paper, keep the paper to a light on its back.) it will help you see if the drawing looks a bit wonky
-try to keep the layers clean and organized
Reason why YOUR lineart may look bad; Ever made a ketchup and then do lineart but you make the sketch invisible and then your lineart is trash? Almost all of us experienced it. Heres 2 reasons why; 1. UNEVEN LINEART. MAKE YOUR LINEART SMOOTH. YOUR LINEART SHOULD HAVE CLEAN CURVES NO MATTER WHAT PEN YOU USE. 2. EVEN THICKNESS. THICKEN THE LINES WHERE THE SHADOWS ARE FOR A BETTER LOOK
