I don't hold any illusions about the ethics or lack thereof of multiple policitians from either party. I will however, acknowledge there's always some from both sides of the aisle that refuse to cross certain ethical boundaries. Cheney and Kinzinger are two perfect examples of such that refuse to go along with Trump's blatant lies about a stolen and/or rigged election - which never existed - nor tolerate his conspiracy to overthrow an election he legitimately lost and gave rise to the insurrection due to his lies.

While most of their colleagues knowingly remain silent about such or deliberately perpetuate Trump's lies for self serving purposes, I give full credit to each of them for refusing to put their political careers or the Republican party over their sworn duty to preserve and protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.

What I find truly remarkable about you is that while you recognize adhering to ethical standards is in short supply with many politicians, you nevertheless remain steadfastly supportive of Trump even though he's proven to be the most corrupt and greatest conman the US has ever had as a President in its entire history.

I'm predominately a centrist and can readily see and understand the validity of some - but never all - any given position either side takes. In my opinion, only a short sighted idiot ever does that.

You ask "Have the Libs ever stood for anything?" Without hesitation, my answer would unequivocally be YES.

If you ever cared about the protection and preservation of human rights for all, they're the ones to fight for such. They also tend to hold corporations that exploit workers and contaminate environments to account, among other issues.

If your priority is about achieving wealth, status & power - no matter the detrimental costs to others - the GOP will always unapologetically endorse such and have no hesitation whatsoever in crossing legal and/or ethical boundaries to achieve such.
