First off, decide what number you're going to make up and stick to it, otherwise we know you're just guessing.

I've always quoted 99.5 or 99.8%. That's not much of a variance.

4.5 million out of 7.5 billion is a death rate of 0.006%. So you caught me. I'm way overstating the death rate.

7.5 billion people with a death rate of 0.05% would be 37,500,000 deaths.

No. That's death per capita. Death rate means you divide by the number of cases, times 100. You don't even know how percentages work, by the way; it's out of 100, so you have to times by 100. If the disease is 100% fatal, 7.5 billion divided by 7.5 billion gives you 1 - does that sound like 1% fatal to you?

99.5% survival rate = 0.995. Using 7.5 billion people, if all of them got the Coof that would mean that we would expect 7,462,500,000 of them to survive which would unfortunately leave 37,500,000 who would have died as a result.

That's not what we're seeing though. If we use your number of 4.5 million who died from Cov that would be 0.9994 or a 99.94% survival rate or 0.06% death rate.

Both heart disease and cancer have higher death rates and we are not in full panic mode over these. So again, why all the theater?

Well you do some work for once and you provide the numbers you think support all the fear and loathing of the Left.

"If all of them got [COVID]" ----> right, so this is the number we're trying to prevent. And the fact that we're already 10% of the way there is cause for alarm, not indifference. We're trying to STOP everyone in the world from catching COVID at a time when hospital capacity is knocked out so that we can PREVENT a cataclysmic death toll.

So now that you've taken a remedial course in 8th grade math, look up and use the ACTUAL fatality rate for COVID.
