*A patrol is walking through, several tanks and some cargo on a floating platform, it appears to be a prisoner, but it’s not human*

GL Soldier 1: I hate galactic labs, this war doesn’t even make sense to me.

GL soldier 2: at least we’re crushing them…

Tank driver 1: shut up both of ya, no time for chit chat. Let’s get the prisoner to the base ok?

GL soldier 2: sir yes sir… I hate this war too to be honest with ya.

*Rustling nearby.*

*the prisoners perked their up*

[switching POVs here]

*Stardust was angry, but even more scared, she had been captured by galactic labs not too long ago, and she was scared of what might happen to her. She can barely move, she’s restrained to the platform, her wings were clipped to her sides with some metal pieces so she couldn’t fly away even she got free. He tail and her legs were chained to the platform, she couldn’t even stand up. And some metal covering was keeping her mouth shut.*

Stardust: *thinking cause she can’t speak* it’s been four days since I had last seen my father, he failed to rescue me. It wasn’t his fault. And judging by the looks on these human’s faces, they didn’t want this to happen either…

Soldier 1: I think the prisoner hear’s something.

Tank Driver 1: just a little ways to go and we’re at the base, let’s move!

*Whatevee it is seems angry by this whole "prisoner" thing, not fully understanding it but sensing theyre scared*

Tank Driver 1: just keep pushing forward and we’ll be alright ok?

GL soldier 1: should have deserted when I had the chance.

GL soldier 2: same.

Tank Driver 1: listen, we I don’t like this either, but we’ve gotta get it done. We’ve been told to kidnap them, let’s just get it over with. Their probably just use her as leverage so we can stop Ember from constantly messing everything up.

GL soldier 2: judging from Ember’s file, this is the worst plan they thought of, it doesn’t matter now that we’re at war.

GL soldier 1: Must be for more land or something. At least one of our Admins is opposed to all of this.

Scientist 1: anyone else feel like their being watched?

*the rest of them 1 by 1 say something along the lines of “yeah, now that you’ve mentioned it”*

Tank driver 1: doesn’t matter, let’s just go, whatever it is, it’ll probably go away…

*Stardust kind of felt bad for them, and she remembered that their earlier engagement when Ember had tried to save her, one of the agents was executed for telling someone they didn’t like the idea and thought Stardust should be released, the scientist who executed the other one never made it through the portal so Stardust doesn’t know that one’s fate*

*A somewhat loud roar suddenly echoes through the woods.*

Tank Driver 1: I have a bad feeling about this…

*Stardust remembers the time she actually helped 2 Galactic Labs agents, those agents would later defect to her side of the war*

GL soldier 1: I’m getting in the tank.

GL soldier 2: we can just leave the prisoner out here. With how slow we’re going, she’s an easy target.

GL soldier 3: we have shielding on this thing you morons. *A shield is activated, Stardust and several soldiers standing on the platform are surrounded by a shield. They put away their weapons*

GL soldier 1: we’re getting in the tanks then. *the soldiers outside each get into 1 of the 4 tanks, the tanks, they speed up a little after everyone is in, the platform in between them also moves along with them*

*A gigantic, one eyed bat creature drops down in front. It roars at them angrily.*

Tank Driver 1: oh this should be good…

*Stardust is already panicking, not for fear of losing her life, but for the people who captured her for some reason, she doesn’t even understand why*

GL soldier 3: we can’t get through if it’s blocking the path.

Tank driver 3: wait it out?

Tank Driver 4: we have no idea how long it’s going to sit there.

GL soldier 4: not like we can just kill it either, there are probably a few watching right now to see what we will do, best to wait for the backup I already called in.

*The bat creature just starts to lumber over to them.*

Tank driver 1: weapons ready but don’t fire.

*I'm trying to help you. Cut it out.*

Stardust: what the heck—

GL soldier 1: what?

Stardust: I think it wants to help me get out of here.

Tank Driver 1: I mean, not like I don’t want to set you free myself but I also don’t want to get executed, it’s a new punishment. And the bad thing is it’s being abused.

GL soldier 3: that’s why we didn’t free you when we saw Ember, even if we survived we would have been killed by our commander. Not sure what happened to them after we ditched them though.

Stardust: knowing my father, they are probably dead…

Scientist 1: even if we freed her now, we’re gonna get executed upon arrival at the base, it’s not like we can turn back now and head for one of the deserter camps. These actually have trackers this time, and I’m pretty sure none of us know how to disable them.

*It just keeps moving forwards, with random angry noises.*

*Stardust tries to stand up but she can’t move up very far*

Tank driver 1: release the clamp around her mouth so she can defend herself!

Soldier 3: what if she begins attacking us?

Tank driver 1: then stun her again and put it back on.

*the metallic piece holding her mouth closed is released, it falls off, Stardust makes no move to attack the GL soldiers*

*The bat just looks her in the eyes, still moving forward.*

*Stardust looks back*

*Stardust thinks for a second, trying to debate on what the bat is trying to do, she stares at it*

GL Soldier 1: I think Stardust here is just as confused as we are.. that was her name, right?

Tank Driver 3: keep our weapons pointed at the bat?

Tank Driver 1: yes you idiot.

Scientist 1: I don’t like this…

*Stardust finally decides to talk*

Stardust: I know we’re enemies, but I don’t think any of you actually wanted to kidnap me, is that right?

Tank Driver 1: wow, I was not expecting that to be the first thing she said, and yes, that’s why the majority of us voted to lure you out. I’m sorry that we betrayed you after you helped two of our agents, but there is nothing we can really do about it, I’m not even sure we can make up for it.

Stardust: well for starters, if we survive at least you have your whole life ahead of ya to think about that.

*the bat just keeps going forward.*

*Stardust thinks about something for a moment*

GL soldier 1: uh… guys, can we communicate with this thing by any chance?

Tank Driver 2: I don’t see why we can’t try…

*Stardust just continues to stare at the bat, as if asking it to not attack*

*The bat just lets off a low growl.*

Stardust (thinking): fine have it your way…

*she also lets off a low growl*

Stardust: *still thinking* not very intimidating for a four year old dragon now am I?

*GL soldier 1 breaks the silence besides the growling*

GL soldier 1: it’s going to attack.

Stardust: hey, you three.. *referring to the several soldiers and scientist on the platform* get behind me.

GL soldier 3: we’re supposed to be protecting you, not the other way around.

GL soldier 4: yeah.

Stardust: then just move out of the way then. *it was at this moment the shields went down as Stardust absorbed their power for just long enough to let a single blast of fire out, the shields come back on a split second after he fireball was fired, everyone on the platform scrambles to get out of the way, only one person has severe burn injuries*

*The bat roars irritably. There seems to be a voice in Stardust's head.*

*Stardust tries to listen to it*

GL soldier 1: I think you’ve just angered it more Stardust.

Stardust: relax, that was only a warning.

*GL soldier 4 on the other hand is screaming in pain*

Stardust: sorry about the burn….

*a pulse flows through the area, GL Soldier 4 stops screaming*

GL soldier 4: th— thanks.. *they still seem like they are in a great deal of pain, but the burn seems to be healing a lot faster*

Adam: The hell?

*Rustling somewhere.*

Adam: *looks around* Hello?
