squid game is great and all, but why everyone talking about it? i watch a lot of horror movies/series including squid game but i dont get whats special about it? (no im not a korean i just like korean horror movies/series)

This one is different, I honestly think what makes Squid Game is so notable is because everyone in the show is so flawed. In regular movies and shows, you normally see your characters change in a positive way, but everyone in the show either doesn’t change or they change for the worse. That’s what I like, it keeps me engaged with the show

Plus the fact that there is no good ending adds to the effect. 456 (Because his name is too hard to remember) won the money, yes, but he had to see his friends die. This really reminds me of Rogue One, the end goal is met, but Jin still dies on the planet.
