so... it's the flu, and it has a proportionately greater effect on older people... just like, the flu.

I got my flu shot this week, just like most years, because the flu kills a lot of people. If there's a vaccine for a deadly disease, I ask my doctor if they think I should get it. I have medical opinions, just like everyone, but you have to be able to hear different opinions. Close-mindedness can sometimes be fatal.

Anyone who makes up their minds on medical issues based on the news is risking their life. If you have an opinion because of something you saw on the news, then ask your doctor. When your doctor answers, listen carefully to what they say and then try to repeat back to them what you think they said so if you didn't understand, the doctor can correct your misunderstanding. Based on my talk with my doctor, I got the Moderna.

I had a lot of statistics in college, and I get so frustrated that people can't understand basic things like the point you made about "this matters." Keep fighting for intellectual honesty. I try not to make people mad, and fail a lot, but my goal is not necessarily to make someone agree with me, but agree to look into the best evidence available with an open mind.
