Okay, it's time for me to share my wisdom. I've learned all of these tricks from years of experience.
1. Incognito
Parents could always check your browsing history, and it's a hassle to have to delete everything, especially when you've been browsing for a long time. So the best way to search stuff without your parents knowing is incognito, because everything you search using this mode will be erased from your history. Which is obvious for most people.
2. Shortcuts
One way to prevent getting caught red-handed is shortcuts. The most famous one is Alt + tab, which is surprisingly very effective. But what if your parents see you have a secret second tab and want to see it? My best strategy for this (sadly, I think this only applies to people who use a windows laptop) is to switch between virtual desktops. This can be accessed by pressing the task view button or by pressing the Windows key + tab. Press new desktop and there! Just make sure not to open anything in that second desktop except the app you want to access if your parents use your PC too, I did that once, accidentally opened zoom in the second tab and that resulted in my parents finding out about my discord. You can quickly switch between desktops by pressing ctrl + windows key + left or right arrow.
3. Vigilance and right timing
Always stay vigilant. Your parent could secretly be right behind you while you're on Imgflip if you're not too careful. A good way is to keep one headphone down and listen for footsteps, when the footsteps get louder, switch tabs or desktops immediately and pretend to do something productive like homework and stuff.
