there needs to be some rules on how many of your own party members you can appoint to congress (although they could prolly get around that with “independents”) or at least a way to impeach without using congress in a case like this.

It’s really easy to fix. Ditch the appointee system and just let anyone join within reason. There are more than enough people here to prevent any one party from gaining a majority. That means people will actually have to work together to get bills passed instead of just rubber stamping whatever the ruling party puts out. HOC can still be an electable position, so there can still be some influence for a party to get what they want if they can negotiate well enough.

yeah, i don’t know why people won’t adopt this idea.

Because RUP will just block it since they don’t want to lose power.
