I've seen it. Right wing will cheer when leftists die. Leftists will still mourn for their political opponents.

I know this is a left wong stream, but you should not celebrate someone's death, even on a left wing stream.

And?

I am celebrating the successful defense of our Nation's capitol against rabid terrorists seeking to overturn a legitimate election. In this, Leeroy Byrd put down nearly the entire insurrection with one bullet. That bullet decided the fate of the capitol that day.

With excellent decision making skills and the ability to think on his feet, that may have been the best call made at the capitol that day.

I am not celebrating anyone's death in this meme. I am celebrating decision making skills that saved the capitol. Please, take your confirmation bias somewhere else.

1) You're right, it was a meme.
2) You're wrong, not a hypocrite. Here's why: the WHO is inconsequential to the WHAT. I'm not celebrating WHO died. I am celebrating WHAT someone did to defend our constitution. I did not reflect on Ashley Babit in any way whatsoever.
3) Stop yelling.

By the way, don't be mad because you botched that whataboutism.

What if he grabbed a flagpole and jammed the blunt end in her chest as she was trying to crawl awkwardly through the broken window? How's that for a wahtaboutism?

Actually what I'm mad about is what I've learned about the person that shot the video. You probably don't have the bandwidth to find out about his interview on CNN, other events he has done video of, and what FBI documents mention that he told your hero. Just enjoy being a winner.

What is? I'll pay along logical fallacy notwithstanding.

I would have laughed at the irony that what killed this "patriot" was an American flag. Again, not celebrating her death, enjoying the irony.

The person who filmed her death is inconsequential to the facts that transpired. You see, I have low bandwidth, so I stick to the facts when they can't be refuted.

Fact. A gaslight "patriot" entered the Capitol illegally.
Fact: a barricade was set up by the house of representative.
Fact: "patriots" tried to break it down,.
Fact: ""when they found they couldn't, one started to climb over this barricade
Fact: there was 8 seconds of a gun being pointed at a trained US veteran who has spatial awareness drilled into her at boot camp.
Fact: said veteran dogs not respond to the warning and was summarily shot once.
Fact: gaslight veteran died for the lie she believed.

Quite tragic how it played out. Regrettable, even.

Sure am thankful we had someone actually honoring their oath and defending the constituion that day. Thus, why I honor Byrd. He made the call no one wants to make.

But we all know it was black lives matter that attacked the Capitol and antifa.

I'm sure glad you came to pay respects for BLM/ANTIFA who got a tour in the Capitol and was hugged by police.

Fine, my language was not precise enough to be absolutely clear that I meant the blunt end for non-lethal force. Your hero was hiding off to the side of the hall, until he took a couple steps out and immediately fired. Have you seen the video?
Even in the frame for your meme only his gun is visible. And nothing against the air force, they have a very different job from other forces and don't need to train to the same level of situational awareness. The vast majority of navy are also lacking in the style of combat situational awareness that the average ground pounder possesses.
Why was your hero hiding? Why was he convinced that his only choice was lethal force? What did the FBI document that the videographer told him?

Regardless of the actions of Byrd, you know how this could have been avoided?

Not attacking the capitol.

Fact.

"Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."

Your hero was hiding
>> You say hiding, I say taking cover.
off to the side of the hall, until he took a couple steps out and immediately fired. Have you seen the video?
>> Yes, and the gun was visible while the cameraman was on the same side as the gunman was, and he still saw the pistol. Bobbit was on the opposing side. Given the movement of the of the Lt. the door was not slightly closed. His position was visible.
Even in the frame for your meme only his gun is visible.
>> From the left side, the same side of the gun. Bobbit was on the right. And nothing against the air force, they have a very different job from other forces and don't need to train to the same level of situational awareness.
>> You know what this tells me? You don't know what the f**k you're talking about. Everyone gets BMT, everyone gets BEAST
navy are also lacking in the style of combat situational awareness that the average ground pounder possesses.
>> See previous comment.
Why was your hero hiding?
>> America's Hero* Ah, so you don't understand how to function in combat situations.
Why was he convinced that his only choice was lethal force?
>> maybe you should, you know... do something the right wing typically don't do... and read the documents for yourself. You know, there was a judge's ruling on the court hearing. Read that.

The cops on the other side of the doors from Leroy were able to move around at will with the whole big scary insurrection going on around them. They didn't see the need to shoot unarmed people, or even train their weapons more than momentarily (at Leroy? something else on Leroy's side of the door?)

He said he was yelling warnings, so I watched the video again and I can't make anything out, nor see any movement by him that looks like he was making loud vocal sounds.

I hadn't known that he had received communication that there had been shots fired elsewhere (the report he received was wrong, his was the only shot fired in the capital that day.)

I would love to hear you tell a marine that BEAST week compares to the Crucible. Maybe that's how you kill a marine. He'd die laughing.

The court cleared him. If it's your hero, then that's absolute proof of his innocence. If it's somebody you don't like, well... they just weren't able to prove it. I know. I fight those same feelings myself. From all I've read, I think it's somewhere in-between, but you seem to have anointed him.

And *you* keep making sure to associate me with the right wing... trying to *make me an other*. Get it? That's the reason for my profile motto.

Then stop echoing their talking points, such as you have.

"I would love to hear you tell a marine that BEAST week compares to the Crucible. Maybe that's how you kill a marine. He'd die laughing."
Irrelevant. You said that that they dont need to train the same level of situational awareness, implying that their situational awareness is lacking. I highly doubt the US would field any armed soldier, pilot or seaman, who hadn't been trained to be aware of their surroundings. I mean, in the Airforce, you really have to have that down as often, you may find yourself behind enemy lines. But, again, irrelevant. She wouldn't have needed to have situational awareness if she wasn't doing the crime.
"The court cleared him. If it's your hero, then that's absolute proof of his innocence. If it's somebody you don't like, well... they just weren't able to prove it. I know. I fight those same feelings myself. From all I've read, I think it's somewhere in-between, but you seem to have anointed him."
No, not really. There is no inbetween when you're hanging out with a crew chanting "Hang Mike Pence." carrying zipties, beating officers, breaking windows. You see someone coming over one of your last lines of defense in trying to save people that the mob has declared intention to bring harm to, ya gotta make the tough call. Again, I trust the court's ruling on this as this isn't an impeachment so there's minimal chance for partisanship as you would see with an impeachment vote.
I'm also not a priest, I can't anoint anyone. I think the man is a hero. With one bullet he stopped the riot. Notice, he didn't shoot her multiple times. Just once. Think about that.
