Every night, since they were four, they would come home from pre-sch..l and sch..l to their mom throwing glass bottles, and arguments between the two in Japanese, their native language. They snuck out at night to do so many things, and one time, at night, during one of their outings, they met Robyn, who taught them how to speak English. The two became best friends.
At age seven, they discovered that they were non-binary, but only came out to Robyn. At age 12, they met several other kids who had went through different kinds of tr..ma, and formed a gang, thinking they could all stick together, like a real family.
