Whistlesong was a blind kit born in RiverClan. She was raised alongside several other kits, her closest friend being Dunekit. She was originally trained as a medicine cat due to her lack of sight, however, the medicine cat hadn't been ready for an apprentice, so she was allowed to train as a warrior. While Whistle and her friends were older apprentices, a battle began between RiverClan and ThuderClan, causing the death of her friend Leopardpaw. After this, the group was made warriors. However, many of them were not content with the messy life of the clans, Whistlesong included. They opted to leave the clan and become barn cats, where Whistlesong resides to this day.
