Who do we compare this intelligence too? Does a squid care about math? No, because our intelligence mainly applies to only us. Obviously, we are more intelligent than all creatures, but we use this intelligence for stupid reasons. Our intelligence let us conquer this planet, and it will take us out of this planet.

Humans aren't the only animals that have emotions or express them? We simply do it more. Other animals can solve problems easily, we simply do it more! Who's smarter, a scientist who makes 2 grand discoveries, or a scientist who makes 100 tiny discoveries. One does it more, and they both may equal the same importance in total, but we simply think differently. I'm being stupid right now, and I'm just rambling.

No, it's a metaphor. Humans make grand leaps in evolution, but we consider that smarter than an animal who has made constant discoveries in it's life.
Human's have dominated this Earth, but it isn't a good thing. We are killing ourselves, slowly. We're causing problems within ourselves, and we are in constant unrest.
