???: *she looks at the phone then puts it down* NURA!!!

*Novos' ears fold down when the girl shouts.*

*Cammie rifles around in her purse for her wallet.*

*a female who you presume is Nura pops up from behind the counter*
Nura: Chima, you don’t have to call me for everything, it’s as simple as cleaning out the charger.
Chima: Well how was I supposed to know that?

*Cammie stares at Nura. Novos barks at her.*

Cammie: "...ehe."

Nura: I apologize for my employee’s stupidity, here’s a a ticket for a tour of the place. *she hands it over* Now Chima, what is the correct price for this person’s repair?
Chima: *sighs* It’s such a minor issue it’s free

Cammie: "Oh, t-thanks."

Nura: Now Chima, I’m going to the back, I assume you can handle this problem yourself.
Chima: *cleans out the port and it charges when she plugs it in* Here you go Miss

*Cammie takes the phone.*

Cammie: "Thank you."

Chima: Come in Friday for your tour

Cammie: "Okay. See ya."

*Cammie walks off. Novos barks and tries to resist, but she drags him out of the store.*

*fridays comes*

*Cammie enters the store. She has Novos with her again.*

Chima: Hello

Cammie: "Hiya!"

Chima: I hope you don’t have anything that needs fixing

Cammie: "Nope. Just here for the tour."

Chima, Alright, come around to behind the counter

*Cammie does as instructed. Novos barks.*

*you notice Chima has two of the same key, and as you walk in, you see her use her foot to shut a door disguised as part of the wall*

*Cammie raises an eyebrow. Novos sniffs the hidden door.*

*the door seems to have a hidden keyhole*

*Novos tries to take one of the keys from Chima.*

*it falls off*

*Novos takes the key in his mouth, gets up on his hind legs, and puts the key in the door. He turns it. Such a very well-trained dog.*

*you decide to wait until night*

*Novos does not want to wait until night, because Novos is certain he can deal with whatever's in there right now but Cammie kicks him and he backs away from the door. He drops the key in her pocket.*

Chima: Will you hurry up? I need to hand you over to Nura

Cammie: "Okay, okay, jeez."

*after the tour*

Cammie: "...that was surprisingly boring."

Chima: They keep the good stuff in the-
Nura: *claps her hand over Chima’s mouth*

*Novos barks.*

*a few minutes later everyone leaves the store*

*Cammie reaches into her pocket, confirming that she still has the key.*

*the store is closed for the night*

*Cammie slips the key into the secret door and unlocks it.*

*it’s a stairwell that leads into a dark place*

*Cammie descends the staircase after Novos, because scary.*

*there’s only a few lights*

*Cammie looks around.*

???: You’re not supposed to be here

Cammie: "You're not supposed to have a secret room in the store, so..."

*Novos growls.*

???: *tugs on something in the darkness and a light comes on* And it’s none of your business

Cammie: "Actually it's all of my business, because I bothered to investigate."

*you notice he looks similar to Nura, just his hair is a different color*
???: It doesn’t concern you

Cammie: "It DOES concern me, male Nura."

???: *he snorts*
???: *another person emerges from the shadows*

Cammie: "...hm."

*Novos growls again.*

???: Chill chill
???: *he remains quiet* *as he reaches up to turn on another light you notice a ring on his finger and there’s another ring on the girl’s finger*

*Novos does not chill. He snarls.*

???: I’m harmless

*Novos is silent. He sits in front of Cammie defensively.*

???: Elnora is harmless

*Novos doesn't move.*

Elnora: Fine

Cammie: "...so what the hell is this place?"

???: I said it’s none of you buisiness

Cammie: "Tell me or I sic Novos on you."

???: *he hisses*
Elnora: I excuse my boss’s behavior he’s part cat

*Novos pauses.*

Elnora: Let me guess he hasn’t introduced himself yet

Elnora: His name is Faust, his sister assigned him to work down here with the rest of us

???(The one with horns): Oh sorry, have we not introduced ourselves? I’m Avrora, that’s my sister Varya. Fedya is another one of us, one of the few males

*Novos looks up. He seems interested.*

Varya: We got a few dragons, a dog, and a cat

*Novos' ears perk up at the word 'dog'.*

Cammie: "...and where is he?"

Varya: *she clicks on a light that illuminates the place* Top floor, first door on the left

*Cammie nods and heads to the indicated location. Novos follows.*

Avrora: He’s an acrobat, so he may be doing something

Cammie: "Right..."

*Cammie knocks on the door.*

*no answer*

*Cammie attempts to open the door.*

*it swings open*
(I have to go soon, I’ll be gone for about three hours)

*Cammie looks around.*

Cammie: "Hello?"

(Sadness noises)
*nobody’s there, but you feel a tap on your shoulder*

*Cammie turns around.*

*there’s a guy on a trapeze* Are you looking for something?

Cammie: "...are you Fedya?"

Fedya: Yeah. *he jumps off*

Cammie: "...I was told to talk to you about meeting a dog."

*Novos barks.*

Fedya: Yeah

Cammie: "...can we meet the dog?"

Fedya: *he scratches his head* yeah, just my dog has his separate room and the bridge over there fell apart so now it’s difficult to get there

Cammie: "...Novos could jump across the gap with us on his back."

Fedya: No thank you I get back and forth from there my own way even with Noam, my dog, and Noam is almost the size of your dog

*Novos barks excitedly.*

Fedya: You can get across your own way

*Novos just up and leaps over the gap.*
Cammie: "...well he certainly wants to meet Noam."

Fedya: *he was there when they landed* I guess

*Novos' tail wags.*

Fedya: Door’s open

*Novos slowly enters.*

*Novos stares at Noam. His tail wags faster.*

Noam: *barks*

*Novos barks. He playfully tackles Noam.*

Noam: *barks*

*Novos yips. He licks Noam.*

Noam: *licks him*

*Novos turns a bit red.*

Noam: *barks*

*Novos barks back. He seems to be grinning.*

Fedya: Cammie, at least I think that’s your name, Nura is coming and she doesn’t like people breaking in here

Cammie: "...well I'm not leaving Novos and I don't think he's leaving any time soon."

Fedya: The room’s big enough for all of you,

Cammie: "...but won't she be mad if she sees me?"

Fedya: She doesn’t come up here

Cammie: "Alright then."

Fedya: We hardly ever get to leave, Chima got let out of here to work the counter, and Kei… Well he…

Cammie: "...did he die?"

Fedya: Kei was my best friend, he went outside, he wanted to see what the world was like, I went with him, he was shot and killed. Only Faust, Nura, and I witnessed it

Cammie: "...I'm sorry..."

Fedya: It hurt everybody, Nura became more cautious, and nobody wanted to go outside again

Cammie: "..."

Fedya: But anyway

Cammie: "...the dogs seem to be getting along well."

Fedya: Yeah

Cammie: "By the way, what's up with Noam and bread?"

Fedya: Honestly I have no idea

Cammie: "Does he eat anything other than bread?"

Fedya: Oh yeah he just loves bread

Cammie: "I can see that."

Fedya: Obviously

*Novos suddenly gets up. He starts trying to tunnel through the wall.*

Fedya: What is he doing

Cammie: "...If I'm not mistaken, he's attempting to tunnel into the basement of the bread store next door."

Fedya: *laughing* Wan the to make his new friend happy then?

Cammie: "I guess so."

*Novos tunnels faster.*

Fedya: Please make him stop I already have bread I haven’t given to Noam

Cammie: "...I don't think I CAN stop him."

*Novos has finished tunneling and returns from the tunnel with multiple cases of expensive bread. The tunnel collapses behind him, leaving no trace of its existence.*

Cammie: "...wow."

Fedya: Damn

*Novos breaks open one of the cases and offers it to Noam.*

Noam: *snarfs it down*

*Novos seems satisfied now that Noam has bread and is happy.*

Fedya: You should go, it’s almost light outside. Maybe you can come back, or work for the store

Cammie: "Okay..."

*Novos whines.*

Fedya: Maybe I’ll see you tomorrow

Cammie: "Right, right..."

*Cammie puts a leash on Novos and drags him to the exit. He whines the entire time.*

Fedya: Maybe you can work for the store and get assigned to down here

Cammie: "Maybe..."

Fedya: Just comeback sometime

Cammie: "I will. Novos will kill me if I don't let him see Noam again."

Fedya: Yeah probabaly

Cammie: "Anyhow, bye!"

*Cammie leaves.*

*the next day*

*Cammie enters the store.*

Chima: How can I help you to do today?

Cammie: "...I was wondering if I could work here."

Chima: Talk to Nura

Cammie: "...where is Nura?"

Chima: The other owner is working today, should I get them?

Nura: Do you have any experience in this field?

Cammie: "I worked at an Apple store once..."

Cammie: "I have lots of experience in taking care of people just from raising Novos."

Nura: Can you repair basic electronics?

*as you go to the back you hear trumpet music coming from the hidden door which suddenly stops*

*Cammie stares at the hidden door for a moment. Novos barks.*

*you get the job*

*you come into work the next day*

*Novos seems VERY anxious to try and see Noam again.*

Nura: You’re assigned to work downstairs *she opens the secret door and hands them a clipboard*

*Novos dashes downstairs to find Noam. Cammie follows.*

Faust: You better actually do your job

Cammie: "I will."

???; I’ve never seen you before

Cammie: "I'm a new worker."

*Meanwhile Novos is breaking open another case of bread for Noam.*

???: *she sighs* Okay

*Cammie looks at her clipboard.*

*its a list of people to interview, the first name on the list is Em*

Cammie: "...what's your name, by the way?"

???: Em

Cammie: "Ah. You're the first person I'm supposed to interview."

Cammie: "...this list doesn't actually specify what I'm interviewing you about..."

Em: Just why we’re here. But I was born here so

*Cammie nods and scribbles on the clipboard.*

Cammie: "Well, thanks for your time, I guess."

Em: Who is next on the Lincoln

*Cammie scans the list.*

*there’s a thump from inside and a moment later Fedya opens the door and he looks really tired*

Fedya: Yeah, I just had to work a night shift

Cammie: "Ah. Well, I need to interview you on why you're here."

Fedya: Come in

*Cammie steps inside.*

*Cammie exits the room.*

*next on the list is Avrora*

*Cammie starts looking for Avrora.*

Varya: My sister is very hard to find

Cammie: "Why don't I just do you first, then?"

Varya: I came with my sister here

Cammie: "Okay."

*Cammie writes this down.*

Varya: Avrora's room is a floor down from Fedya's. Maybe you can find her there

*Cammie nods and descends a floor to Avrora's room.*

*the door is open*

*Cammie steps inside.*

*there's not much, save for a wardrobe, a nightstand, and a bed, plus a small photo on the nightstand*

*Cammie examines the photo.*

Avrora: Why are you looking at that
