6. Common Sense Party's political compass position

CSP is a unity party of right and left wing libertarians, although users in the two authoritarian quadrants are not barred from joining. We value freedom, fair play, diplomacy, and democracy. We share the most similarities with HCP and Kaiju and the most differences with Nerd and RUP.

5. Reform the Judicial system

Under Common Sense Party's plan, the owners (Captain_Scar and Envoy) would take over the role of judges. A trial can be held if and only if an owner agrees to take on a case. Another owner can take on a case, even if another owner has rejected to hear the case. If all owners are inactive, then whoever is designated as temporary owner has the authority to hear cases.

2. Establish a Senate as an equal branch to Congress. Our goal is to get other streams to start participating in IP which will boost the number of people participating in the stream. Congress is where the people get representation, the Senate is where streams get representation. One stream gets one vote, and any stream can participate in the Senate. A person from that stream chosen by that stream speaks on behalf of that stream in the Senate. A person cannot represent more than one stream, although they can hold both a Congress and Senate seat if they wish. This also applies to alt accounts, an alt cannot hold a Congress or Senate seat if the main account or another alt already does. The streams can choose whoever they like in whatever manner they want as long as it’s not another member’s alt. A bill must pass through both branches in order to become a law.

Hey, I was asked a question by IG about what I would first if I got in power and the Senate was what I said.

If you think your party appointing a supermajority to do whatever you want is a democracy, you clearly have no idea what a democracy is. That's a rubber stamp congress.

Okay, here are non RUP members in Congress:

DaBananaMan
RMK
BeHapp
Firestar
Beany
Vacant Position (previously SydneyB)
[deleted] M
3 ups, 3y
RMK, BeHapp, and Beany were automatically put in because they were the runners up. Sydney quit due to RUP going after their political enemies. The others generally stick to the RUP line.

SydneyB has chosen not to resign.

I have no evidence Andrew is Authoritarian Left or a commie.I also have no evidence lil Andy F is a Nazi, which is extremely Autho Right.

He doesn’t think Right Minded and he censors political opponents in abuse of mod power. You can do that sometimes but I don’t think your bad as him.

I now need to find a joke so I can try and make this a little humourous without using IG’s joke that will make Andrew think I’m his alt.
[deleted] M
3 ups, 3y
Um, how exactly is RMK censoring his political opponents? He doesn’t even have mod on IP. Even if you want to expand your search sitewide, there’s no evidence that RMK is censoring his political opponents.

Andrew does indeed delete comments that violate TOS as is his role as a Community Mod. However, none of his recent comment deletions have been in Presidents, nor have they been against RUP members. So no, he is not censoring you.
0 ups, 3y
You took it out of context.
I said Andrew doesn’t think right minded.

Okay, let me clear things up about the Authoritarian.

I only put RUP in Auth right because their owner is Auth Right. The majority of our main party members are Liberty: Wubbzymon, PR1CE, Crazy and Me.
[deleted] M
2 ups, 3y
Unless you can show me a political compass test Andrew did that puts him in the authoritarian left quadrant, I see no reason why he would be placed in that quadrant. Based on what I’ve seen from Andrew, there’s nothing I’ve seen that indicates he’s an authoritarian.

You may personally be more liberty minded, but all the proposals and bills currently coming out of RUP all appears to be authoritarian in nature. Please know my criticisms of RUP are not criticisms directed towards you personally or towards most other RUP members, I think most of you are good people who just want to bring your ideas to fruition, but that RUP leadership is pushing for authoritarianism and I will always be opposed to that.
0 ups, 3y
Also, Andrew is obviously Auth Left but Surly is Lib Right so there’s another example.

Your position on the political compass does not automatically make your party more pro-democracy than the RUP. Try again.
[deleted] M
2 ups, 3y
Your own party member thinks CSP are libertarians and RUP are authoritarians. It wasn’t an algorithm that determined that, it was a real living human being. CSP is proudly and unashamed to be by libertarians for libertarians. RUP cannot say the same.

So since according to you anyone who leans towards authoritarianism instead of libertarianism is literally Hitler, the person you keep posting photos of like he’s your avatar is a fascist communist nazi totalitarian! That’s your own logic right there.

Would you be shocked if I said Putin is a bad guy? If I lived under his rule, you bet I would be rebelling. I use Putin because it triggers the leftists and Never Trumpers who believe Putin and Trump stole the election from Hillary, and apparently you as well ;)

9 Congressmen are RUP members, so no not a supermajority. You’re the democracy hater.
[deleted] M
3 ups, 3y
And at least two more toe the party line, similar to Bernie Sanders technically being independent but always caucusing with Democrats. Yes, you still have your supermajority and you are using it to consolidate power. CSP will give everyone a voice, regardless of party for a true functioning Congress and a free and fair democracy.

Algorithm? What on earth are you on about? And how does being more libertarian automatically make you better? You're talking complete nonsense and this conversation is going nowhere. It’s dragged on for too long.

We’ve appointed several users who are not RUP members or even conservatives, and three Congressmen are appointed to Congress automatically as the runner-ups in the previous election. Meanwhile you’ve admitted you don’t care about the democratic will of the people. And you still call the RUP anti-democracy.
[deleted] M
4 ups, 3y
Three Congress members against your twelve, thus preserving your supermajority. My point still stands. CSP wants to allow everyone to join Congress (yes, even RUP). The choice is clear which of us truly loves democracy, and it's not you.

Plus the people who appoint Congressmen are democratically elected to do just that. But you insist on repeating votes until you get the result you want. Hagen to break it to you, but that isn’t how democracy works. It’s just like when people demanded a second referendum on Brexit when Scottish Independence just because they didn’t like the last result.

The CSP clearly doesn’t care about democracy or giving people voices since you’ve already admitted you don’t care about the democratic decisions of our Congress. This government is completely democratic because PR1CE, Pollard and I were all elected to appoint Congressmen. I haven’t deleted any of your content, but you’ve needlessly deleted tons of comments and memes just because I criticised you biased mods.

Your own Secretary of State disagrees with you. As you can see, Common Sense Party is currently the most libertarian party on IP. Meanwhile RUP is clearly in the Right Authoritarian quadrant. According to your own party member, RUP is clearly more authoritarian than CSP.

You gonna call F1Fan literally Hitler/Stalin/Mao because he like me leans slightly towards authoritarianism? Or have you only just realised it’s possible for someone to disagree with you without being a fascist? https://imgflip.com/i/5mqcts

You’re projecting again, liar
0 ups, 3y
I think if I was Authortarian left for REAL LIFE politics, then it would make sense. I mean, if I was old enough to vote, I’d vote the Labour Party.

However, in stream, I’m more a libertarian, irl and IP. I see myself a leftist irl and a rightist in IP.

1. Open Congress up to everyone, not just the ruling party

There is no point in having a Congress as it is now, it’s just a rubber stamp for whatever party is currently in control. My proposal is to allow anyone who wants to join Congress to be able to. This includes everyone, not just our political allies like certain administrations have done. Anyone from any party can join Congress, that way Congress truly represents all.
