Wasn't it Democrat politicians that were saying they wouldn't trust the vaccine in 2020? Now they wonder why people are scared of the vaccine. Maybe they shouldn't say things like that if they're just going to blame other people when they believe them.

Trump wanted the vaccine out and rushed ahead of when it was ready, he wanted to have it ready by election as that was going to help his vote numbers. Democrats insisted that the vaccine be given its proper time to develop and let the CDC and the FDA decide when it is ready for use.

Yeah, we wouldn't trust the vaccine if the CDC or the FDA approved it before election, knowing that they kept saying "winter 2020 or january 2021."

What you're alleging is the simple Right-wing "wait for people to forget what happened" bit and then rewrite history. Since this is a growing trend, I've been keeping tabs on RW talking points since last summer, instead of just talking about them and moving on.

Our own VP said she wouldn't trust it...; while Trump was still in power. Now everyone changed their mind...once it came out in their admin. The vaccine didn't change, just the party in power, so the narrative changed with it.

Democrats said they wouldn't trust a vaccine that the Trump admin rushed for political purposes. FDA and CDC were publicly saying "We're thinking this won't be ready until Winter." And we agreed that the process shouldn't be rushed, put it out when it's ready. Then, the right-wing started doing pre-gaslighting to form your toxic narrative: "Watch, soon as Biden is elected..."
Claim #1: Democrats will THEN support the vaccine after - false.
Claim #2: Biden's going to reopen everything - false.
Claim #3: Biden will impose mask mandates and won't lift them - false

Classic throwing spaghetti at the wall so that you can fulfill your own confirmation bias. We push the vaccine because it's safe. Because we could have nipped this thing in the bud months ago. But because it's being allowed to survive through Republicans, it's being given time to mutate. Republicans are the slackers who didn't do their part on a group project. (literally)

So far...the mutations or variants are from other countries, not from unvaccinated Americans who represent a small minority in the world. Trump's words never affected the veracity of the vaccine, therefore Democrats were the ones gaslighting until they got the election they wanted.

It's Big Pharma's vax...you know...the bad guys the left is always demonizing, but now worshipping them as if they've performed a miracle. Many still don't trust Big Pharma, including Democrats. It is noteworthy that the highest percentage of vaccine resistance has been among those with PHDs, falling in around 27% of those. Everyone has their reasons, and some are stupid. Blood clots among women are a real concern. My mom was admitted three weeks after getting her second shot, into the ICU for an embolism. They said her blood was a mess. I opted for the Johnson vaccine because it uses established medicine and not the new stuff that isn't long-term tested.

So that means Trump's warp speed was a bad idea and we should have had liberals in charge so they would have taken four to five years to make sure it was safe?
