Here's a theory my friend made because she was bored.

iPhones always seem to act up a lot because there are things that live in it that act weird and want to leave the phone. But they will only leave if the iPhone is put down. They think that putting the phone down to charge is the thing that most people would do. So they quickly drain the juice out of the phone. That's why iPhone batteries have a short life.
