Yes . . . and the problem with using old labels for modern times is that the people involved are mostly ignorant about the name origins. I can guarantee that the average liberal, whom sometimes adopts the alternative label of progressive, doesn't have a clue regarding the name origin. For instance while I currently use the term leftist to categorize a particular behavior set I also frequently use it to encompass everyone to the Left of Center, period; to designate a liberal, progressive. leftist, and their increasingly fascist minded double-first cousins . . . ideologically speaking.
