Civilized people know that to participate in a civilized society one must put up with some inconveniences. Laws, lines, traffic lights, clothing, sanitation, restaurant health code, building code, zoning, licensing, paperwork/beurocracy...

But wearing a mask during a national health crisis is just too much civility to ask of a rational adult?

There's no force. It's a public contract, a membership. You can join the club (if deemed worthy) or enjoy your conveniences in privacy of your trailer.
