Trust me, nobody on the right thinks Bree Larson's Captain Marvel is an icon.

You took everything from me - I don't even know who you are | ARE YOU CALLING ME A CONSERVATIVE!? | image tagged in you took everything from me - i don't even know who you are | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I don't even know who Bree Larson is. I just saw the picture and this meme is what I vomited up. She has a pretty convincing republican rage face too though.

She's the actress who played Carol Danvers (I.E Captain Marvel).

However, the movie had a distinct overuse of ultra-feminist vibes that left a bad taste in the mouth of most of us conservatives...not that it was a bad movie, mind you, it was just a bit too political. As a result, Larson is viewed as a liberal champion.

Aaaaaaaand, that wraps up the lecture on Why Captain Marvel Was Underwhelming that I didn't know I'd be giving today.

I'm all up to speed now, Bree Larson, Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel. I tried to watch that one a couple of times but for some reason I never got through it. I'm hit or miss with the marvel movies. I did notice her little part in end game where she slapped Thanos mothership in the face to death, that was bad-ass. Honestly though I wouldn't look that deeply in to my memes, I know they are dumb.

Speaking of memes did you like this one? I mean is it visually correct, is it funny?

Her scene in Endgame where she blasts through Thanos' ship is awesome, I won't lie. My issue with her character (nerd rant inbound) is it seemed to have very little in the way of real character development and was mostly, "I am Strong Woman in Space, bring me in when you need an easy out of whatever plot conundrum you're in."

That aside, as far as your question goes, I can't say it's my place to judge. Art is generally subjective, memes doubly so. So long as YOU think it's good then who am I to judge? :)

I'll probably give that one another try, if I need to connect some dots in the marvel universe. I never even saw any of the marvel films until covid hit. I just don't have the time. I know I spend a lot of time on memes, but you can do those on the go. To sit down and watch a movie for me is a big commitment. Over all I liked them. What I like most about them is that they were like the characters I grew up with. They couldn't have had a better iron man or Thor. I like the new spider man, but nothing beats the original. The second Spiderman is a masterpiece, if it's been a while I would recommend seeing that. Cap was okay, Thanos was okay. Chris Pratt killed it as Starloard. The second guardians was insane! Probably my favorite, just visually and Kurt Russel was in it.

I was aware that Marvel movies were a thing after Iron Man dropped in 2008 or so, but I never actually bothered to watch one until I saw the first Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters in 2014. It was, of course, freaking hilarious, so I marathoned every one released to date and saw every new one in theaters.

It is a big time commitment though...I love watching movies and dedicate a fair amount of free time to it, so going to the theater is one of my favorite pastimes (which of course was ruined by COVID, bleh).

That said, once Endgame came out I thought, "OK, that was a cool seven years, but we're done now because the story is complete." so I've not really kept up with Marvel's doings of late. We'll see if they continue to make good movies or if the quality starts to go downhill.

Finally, Tom Holland is the best Spiderman...can't change my mind there, haha. Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark is my favorite character in the franchise, followed by Johansson's Romanoff and Anthony Mackie's Falcon.

I saw the first couple episodes of falcon and winter soldier, I didn't hate it. It relied heavily on over the top special effects that get old after a while. and was hard to get into. I saw the first few episodes of Loki and I liked it much more. It was a lot funnier. Tom holland is definitely the best Peter Parker and Spiderman is definitely the best of the franchise. The original movies however mostly stuck to the comic and I love sam rami. Defoe was an amazing green goblin and doc oc was one of the best villains of all time.

Oh no doubt there. The cast in the original outside of Toby's Peter Parker was amazing!!!

My sole issue with Falcon and Winter Soldier was the very end, but I can't really talk about it without spoiling it for you (I did enjoy it overall though!). Loki I've not finished, still need to watch the last episode, but it was thoroughly enjoyable.
