Part of it was. It’s some dude who hates faking articles for the government. They meet this girl (and at first he hates him but then the girl passes a note to him telling him she loves him and his mood changed, on a side note, he thought the meeting was to join a group of rebels that didn’t exist) and the two of them fall in love even though they aren’t supposed too. The government eventually finds out about it and they are arrested and even tortured. After that they are basically brainwashed into hating each other (or not loving each other) so they don’t meet again. Along the way you hear about the things the government does to keep its power and keep everyone else in line.
