The angel Gabriel gives Daniel the meaning of his vision: In the future the temple (where Jesus cast out the money changers) will be destroyed. And from that time onward there will be human suffering before the coming of the antichrist who will reek havoc and defile the temple of God until Christ comes and destroys him.
