Trump actually got the second highest vote numbers in history. Oh but that’s believable? Well, Biden was vp to a popular president, and you know, people might notice that. He was also further to the right than most of the candidates the democrats have put up in recent years, and so then he even got support from right wing people like John McCain’s widow.
In actuality up until recently he was still over 50% approval. The drop coincided with the Afghanistan leave.

I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but the truth is plain and simple: Biden appealed to more people across the political spectrum. He is a neoliberal, he is a capitalist.
Just because Biden's supporters were more moderate, and contained more people who were less likely to follow politics as much as say, trump supporters, and because Biden maintained social distancing at his rallies, you can't say that there was more enthusiasm about trump.
Trump never headed above 50% in poll numbers. It took Biden 7 months to drop below 50%.

If you have followed Mr. Biden over the last 47+ years, you will know he is all over the political spectrum depending on the politics of the group he is speaking with. No one was enthusiastic for him because he doesn't stand for anything other than getting himself elected.
