The majority of Madrid's population is reporting serious water shortages, this only in the last month, due to a series of dams emptying almost 100% throughout the Spanish capital. These same emptyings were reported in Galicia, Catalonia and Castile and León, which worries local authorities.
The Spanish government has been importing water in droves to try to deal with the situation.
Spanish Prime Minister Puss in Boots said in an interview: “Yes, this is alarming and we are doing our best to control the situation, but several factors have complicated our means. We are redirecting as much aid as possible to the poor affected families."
