For 1000 years, Afghanistan has been warring tribes with no strong central government. We could never force one on them.

The 9/11 attackers were mostly Saudis. But the Bush family had business deals with the Saudi Royal Family, so Bush attacked the Afghans instead. It made no sense at the time, and still doesn't. 20 years and 83 billion dollars later, we still had no business in Afghanistan. Trump promised to get us out. Biden delivered on that promise.
