So, there will now be tyre compounds:
Aggressors (Red tyres)
Primaries (Yellow Tyres)
Conservers (White Tyres)
Wet Tyres (Blue Tyres)
As for Qualifying, if you qualify in the Top 10, you will have to start on the tyre compounds you set your best lap. Here is an example Top 10 for a random track like Watkins Glen:
1. Shadow (24) (Aggressors)
2. Knuckles (19) (Aggressors)
3. Ugandan Knuckles (22) (Primaries)
4. Silver (9) (Aggressors)
5. Romain Grosjean (8) (Primaries)
6. Lando Norris (4) (Primaries)
7. Rick Astley (52) (Aggressors)
8. Red Crewmate (41) (Aggressors)
9. Tails (18) (Primaries)
10. Sonic (48) (Primaries)
So, all those drivers will have to start on that tyre compounds they qualified on. However those outside the top 10 get a free choice of tyre.
As for the compounds, 2 of them along with the Wets will be brought to the weekend. For example, COTA will use the Primaries and Conservers.
