I tried to make a serpent but kinda failed with the tail

I sketch dragons a lot

I try to draw but I just fail

Here is what I do
Pick what I want to draw, and imagine it. Imagine the lines in the drawing and what they look like on the piece of paper and what it feels like to draw the lines, then try and replicate it.
