Yes. The idiots genuinely EXPECTED consequences-free smooth sailing just as if they hadn't spent the previous four years conducting a bogus Trump/Russia witch hunt in collusion with the suborned mainstream media and Never-Trump RINOS and then generated two anti-ethical impeachments while openly using the intent of the Constitution for their toilet paper.
None of them ever invisioned any meaningful political repercussions whatsoever for any of that . . . much less for stealing a presidential election. They even thought that there would be no resulting problems from deliberately having put a dementia patient into the presidency and a retired hooker into the vice presidency. They actually expected totally smooth sailing. 2021 has been a collective shock for our simplistic-minded leftists.
