Read my comment again. Imagine that you have a burglar alarm in your home but you still lock your doors. Are you dumb for doing that?

If you believe the vaccine works, masks, shouldn’t be required for the vaccinated. If you don’t believe it and masks are still necessary then why preach the vaccine with such zeal?

Why lock your doors with such zeal if you believe in your burglar alarm? (Again, my mistake here was thinking you knew how a burglar alarm works, which you didn't. My bad.)

It is hypocrisy. In 2020 she spoke of respecting people’s right to choose whether or not to be vaccinated, in 2021 she says we could become like a petri dish due to the selfishness of the unvaccinated.

Neither a burglar alarm nor locking doors make a home impenetrable, it still remains somewhat easy for somebody to break in if they wanted to. The purpose is to HELP keep your home safe, mostly by deterring burglars from trying at all. Here is where that analogy fails: Covid doesn’t get deterred from entering just by knowing that a person is vaccinated. The purpose of the vaccine is to fight off the vaccine WHEN it enters. And according to the CDC, it works upwards of 95% of the time. Even still, the CDC is pushing masks on the already vaccinated. So they don’t seem to actually trust their own vaccine, thus the meme.

Sorry, my mistake was thinking you knew how a burglar alarm works. No, it's not just a sticker on your window that says "burglar alarm" on it! It's this whole complicated thing that raises attention when someone's actually broken in and calls the cops for you and everything. Look it up. It's a whole thing. And it's actually quite an apt analogy for how your immune system works.

But you still lock your door because when it comes to safety, redundancy is a feature, not a bug - the more systems you have in place, the more things need to fail in order for the outcome to be the one you're trying to avoid.
