[The light continued to pulse through the ground, a small hum growing slightly louder before quieting.]

Cookie: uhm....

[The light almost seemed reluctant to move further, but it slithered up to the barrier. It couldn't get in.]

Cookie: *backs away slowly*

Ayrun: *crashed down ina spaceship* Huh ok then... *he is wearing large and bulky armorand carrying a large hammmerr

[The spaceship slightly touched the city barrier, provoking the wall to glow a bright red. It quickly dimmed, leaving the magma light and the somber woods ahead. A loud crackle of leaves was heard before falling into silence.]

Kin'Ra: "My brother warned me about going into overgrown forests... but whatever."

*Kin'Ra vaults the barricade.*

[Awaiting Kin'Ra was a mutitude of thick trees, but the light still shown brightly, slinking into the depths of the woods. Nearby, a couple of twigs crackled.]

Kin'Ra: "...welp, here we go."

*Kin'Ra slowly follows the light.*

[It is August the 4th, 4698, and for the first time in five hundred years, the megacity of New Eden Is under complete lockdown. For two weeks, the barrier separating civilization from the mysterious Vark Angels has glitched and even temporarily collapsed, letting some of the destructive creatures through, followed by heat waves and fire flares that could not be pin-pointed.

A couple weeks later, you or your oc wanders near the edge of New Eden, when a faint sound attracts their attention. A glowing light, like magma, is pulsing through the ground, leading into the overgrown forest ahead. The only things separating your oc from the light is the city baracade, something easily climbable, and the official police force doesn't seem to be patroling this area. The light almost seems to call you...]

Jacob: Glad that i made this watch * Teleports to the other side * Why didn't I do this before?

[It was silent in the forest around him, the light generating a quiet humming sound. It seemed to be a path, hoping to lead Jacob somewhere. Nearby, a twig crackled, then fell more silence.]

Jacob: * He followed the light *

[The light continued to flow deeper and deeper into the trees and foliage, leading Jacob further into the woods. There was a sharp gleam of metal nearby, followed by soft voices.]

Jaco: hmmm

[The voices were louder now, and Jacob could hear some of their words.] "So are they sure it's..." [A female voice. A crackle of leaves blocked Jacob from hearing the rest of her sentence.] "That's what the coordinates say. Let's keep going." [A male voice this time. The voices stopped and the sounds grew louder, but Jacob didn't seem to be their target.]

Jacob; * Turns invisible *

Craig The Brute: *ingores*

*Ruby scans the area*

Ruby: I might as well investigate, nothing better to do. *she walks over and climbs over the barricade*

[It was still quiet over the border, save for a crackle of twigs, but silent nonetheless. The light continued to pulse, snaking into a pathway into the woods.]

Ruby: gah, I’m usually better at sneaky around than this. *she hopes no one heard the twigs and makes for the light*

[The light leads her down a winding path that is hidden by the overgrowth. Some shards of metal are scattered around. they look like they were ripped to shreds by a feral animal, but no bone claw could do that sort of damage.]

Ruby: interesting, I’ll collect them. *she decides to collected them incase they are needed*

Commander Vix: *he seemed to be wearing clothes from 2023. He looked around to make sure nobody was watching, and began to climb the barricade.*

Finally, got out of reach of that inkling, but, where is everyone?
