She left for her mental and emotional struggles after years and years of pressure placed on her alone by the entire country. She left because she believed she was holding her team down, and yet she still stayed to support and coach her team.

What they aren't telling you. The real reason Simone Biles quit.
Biles already knew she that she was unable to pull this routine off. And if she didn't pull it off. Bye, bye medals, fame, glory, etc...
From an interview: At the Tokyo Olympics, Biles could have a fifth skill named after her in the Code of Points—a dangerous Yurchenko double pike vault that besides Biles, only male gymnasts have performed in competition.
At podium training in Tokyo on July 22, Biles trained the vault, although it’s not clear when, or if, she will actually try the vault during the three remaining opportunities she will have during competition—the team event, the all-around event, and the vault final.
If she does decide to do the vault during one of those events, it will be “because I can,” as she said. In her mind, it was easier to quit and have people say she would have won it. Than to compete, lose, and remove all doubt!

Wow. Just wow. Just gonna ignore the fall on her vault, the multiple mistakes and pressure caused by said mistakes, the years of pressure built up on her because she is GOAT, and the multiple documented mental and emotional issues, huh? Gonna ignore that she was struggling greatly as early as the Olympic trials, and that she literally deduced she was gonna bring her team down if she continued to compete, and still decided to stay to help them and cheer them on?
Deciding to shit on a famous person for pure speculation instead of taking medical concerns into account is kinda shitty, isn't it?
What the hell does she owe any of you, when you people put so much pressure to win not for her own sake or even state of mind, but because this whole country is convinced winning a shiny piece of gold makes us better, especially when you all decide to take a dump over her name when she literally leaves for medical concerns.
That's not even mentioning the way y'all treat the other Olympians. Let's see, fat-shaming Laurie Hernandez for injuring her back and being unable to train, dumping on Suni even though she won Gold because CLEARLY "she only did well because Simone flaked," despite the fact that these ladies are literally Olympians.
Simone dedicated her whole life to gymnastics, dealt with sexual abuse from her coach, was pressured to do everything in her power to win for people who clearly have never given a shit about her, and got treated like shit for stopping halfway through because she realised she was dragging her team down and decided she wouldn't be able to win Gold. She quit so WE COULD WIN and you idiots still blame her? For what? We still won Gold. If all you care about is winning, then why are you mad in the first place when her leaving still won us Gold?
Are you so petty that a random person who doesn't know you taking medical leave is enough to insult you?

Apologies for the huge block of text, added spaces to break up paragraphs and it did not include them in the final product.

Also, an addendum. So... Biles opting so the Team win us Gold was... a bad decision, somehow? Biles deciding, "no, I can't handle this routine, and I can't handle the mental pressure, and I'm going to make us lose if I continue" is somehow a bad decision?

Judging by how you people reacted it's clear her career would tank regardless of what she did.

So CLEARLY the best decision for her to make was stay in the competion, crack under the pressure, flub her routines, potentially physically hurt herself, and make the Team lose anyway?

You're so petty about this one singlular person you'd rather her f**k up exponetially than quit before something bad happens to her?

Damn, you're a terrible person if that's the case.
