SurlyKong explains checks and balances to the RUP... | Foreigners trying to understand meme law... Oi! Why ain't I king yet? ● If you bothered to read my memes instead of just the comments section, you would know: I've already voiced support for banning Richard for being an asshole. ● If you'd bothered to READ THE CONSTITUTION, you'd know that contrary to popular belief, there are three branches of Government under common law. Legislative, executive & judicial.
The meme constitution allows the owner to act as a defacto supreme court along with the judges to address meme concerns. The courts may throw out unconstitutional laws as they see fit. In this case, the owner (acting as a defacto judge due to the courts disarray,) threw out a law he deemed a power grab. The three branches are supposed to be equal and Congress' 'trials? We don't need no stinking trials!' attitude, doesn't sit well with the judicial branch. ● The stream is based on US common law (ask Scar) and in absence of a precise rule, common law must be followed. This means that you cannot legislate away things like due process, checks and balances, and the three branches system.
To explain this simply: executive orders & vetos can be overridden by Congress. The executive branch can choose how to enforce laws allowing them to nullify laws they don't want to enforce. Anyone can ask the courts to address grievances. And the supreme courts sits quietly above it all to ensure one branch doesn't grab all the power. ●What you can LEGALLY do about this:
Go to the courts with your grievances. In this case this means going to the supreme court and seeing if you can get the decision reversed. Obviously this needs to be done in private.
Start working with the judicial branch and executive branch instead of ignoring them. Look into a ballot initiative for elected judges next election. Better judges would keep us from having to go right to the supreme court with everything.
Replace your current meme lawyer with an American who knows the law. I recommend the Right Minded Knight. While I do not agree with his politics, he knows the law and already has the judge's ear. ●What you CAN'T legally do about it:
Pass a law disbanding the courts because you don't like them.
Pass a law outlawing checks and balances because you don't like them.
Pass a law making yourself Owner For Life cause you don't like the current owner.
Make your own "Super supreme court" stream with yourself as "Unquestioned Super Justice For Life." | image tagged in constitutional convention, constitution, don't piss on the constitution, and tell us its raining | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
