Sometimes, I will agree with you on that. There are few news stations not interested in getting viewers by hyperbole, thats why I rarely watch news, but rather read it. PBS, Sky, Cheddar and BBC some streaming offers AP .... other than those, its all text for me.

The BBC is usually good, I like them. Sometimes their views on social issues clash with my Catholic beliefs, but they're my go-to source on global happenings.

I use the National Interest as a specifically military/geopolitical reference, though their writers can sometimes be very left or right in their opinions (one specifically has it out for Ukraine and always bashes them while defending Russia, and that sets my Ukrainian blood a-boiling).

Usually I read FOX purely out of selfish confirmation bias. I'll actually research any story on there I find interesting. 😂
