Straight people are allowed mod IF AND ONLY IF they support LGBTQ.

honestly I think only lgbtq mods should be allowed, because if something is homophobic a straight person may not be able to fully understand why

If I’m not sure if something is homophobic or not I don’t approve it, I only approve things that I am sure are supportive. Also, I’ve dealt with a large amount of trolls here. I have a lot of experience dealing with trolls from other streams I mod.

exactly, that's why you're a good mod, you make very sure, by asking people you know are lgbtq, if something is wrong.

you're a mod, but you still rely on people who are actually lgbtq for the info, so basically the same as an lgbtq mod. The thing here is that this person is saying that people who wouldn't even ask an lgbtq person and are also straight should be mods, which is just plain off stupid.

E.g. somebody could try to make a point that omni bi and pan are all the same thing, and a straight mod could see that as a normal thing to say. Meanwhile, as an omni person myself, I find it incredibly offensive and annoying.

Point being, most straight people, ally or not don't fully understand the view of lgbtq people. So it just makes sense.

What I do is I look at the memes other mods disapproved to get an idea for what’s allowed. if I don’t know whether something thing is allowed, I try to find a meme similar that was either approved or disapproved by other mods. If I don’t know I leave it in submission for someone who does. I do that for every stream I don’t own

it's not discrimination- that's like saying that black people shouldn't be the ones deciding what's offensive to black people.

and why would it be better to have a mix? this the lgbtq stream, it's meant for lgbtq, I get allies are allowed, and thats fine but like bruh
