I'm afraid you're appealing to extremes.

I'm afraid you have a very limited understanding of geopolitics and the history of socialist movements.

I'm afraid you don't have an objective understanding of government policies and economic policies and the separations thereof.

What you're mad about is you let your triggered nature get the better of you, you started spouting off your mouth like you had something to prove, lacing your comments with vitriol, and you got the banhammer for it as it violates TOS.

In essence, you were mad that you were held accountable for your display of immature behavior.

And here you are, projecting the "Thin-skinned" bit which I find humorously ironic. Thanks for the smile.

So where is your attacks against me now? Running out of steam because you realized what kind of a fool you're being for speaking on something you know nothing about, you just wanted to say some thing that fits your narrative because the only thing that makes sense is me abusing my role as a GM rather than you acting a fool? Inconceivable.

Do this shit again to anyone else and I'll ban you myself.

Thanks for playing :)

First, here's the definition of condescending
"To be condescending is to interact with others in a way that implies that you're superior to them."

My statement was a observatory and not accusatory. In this, it did not take an active tone reflecting my alleged superiority over your aptitude (or lack thereof) for literary comprehension. Instead, it was a passive statement reflecting the possibility that you are human and therefore potentially mistaken in what your interpretation from the texts you cited.

How is my comment any more condescending than the original comment you made to my meme?
With your comment yours is an active attack on my knowledge without discussion of the meme in the first place.

If you can't take shit don't throw a temper tantrum when it gets thrown back in your face.

Your original comment.

"Authoritarianism is a ridiculous framing. We live in authoritarian capitalism because capitalists have the authority. In an authoritarian socialist or couniat state, the workers have the authority. Please stop repeating this dumbshittery."

Yeah. That's actually condescending. Though given your reaction to what I wrote, I get the feeling I may have hit a soft spot. Sorry if I triggered you.

You're throwing projection in spades. You're here on my meme, being critical of it, I rely with an equal level of critique.

Who's condescending? Thanks for playing.

not the same at all, when government is authoritarian there is no justice, like when rumpt colluded with barr to punish his enemies.
why do i bother, here comes the hate....

Yeah I agree there is no justice in the Authoritarian US. No justice for the crimes of the ruling elite. China executes billionaires. That's justice

Bro the cops execute ppl without charge or trial all the time in the US. There is no justice for the poor or working class. Billionaires commit capital crimes whose victims are numerous and face no consequences. There is no other way to deal with the ruling class. Gotta purge the billionaires

Democratic socialism can't be maintained though. It will, sooner or later, fall into authoritarian socialism and then full-blown Communism.

So, you're saying that Authoritarian Communism can be maintained?

Until there's a rebellion/revolution or external pressures force a collapse, yes.

Under that parameter, democratic socialism can be maintained. Just as easily.

No, because we've already established that any nation which condenses property ownership and economic/social operations under one state umbrella WILL fall to authoritarian socialism sooner or later. You can't expect to coagulate all power into one apparatus but also expect human beings to NOT try and take advantage of that power.

You mean like how our politicians are taking advantage of capitalist lobbying?
[deleted]

Lobbying is something that can and will happen anytime state and non-state interests intersect. It alone is a healthy part of democracy. It's not my fault if someone else is corrupt enough to take bribes and then listen to lobbyists' wallets, not arguments.
1 up, 3y
Lobbying is not healthy at all for a democracy. You're literally buying votes at that point. Whoever supports you more, you want to vote their way so they keep supporting you. Money is not a part of democracy and never should be.

I mean, to quote you on this topic:
"You can't expect to coagulate all power into one apparatus but also expect human beings to NOT try and take advantage of that power."

and with no limits on campaign funding, coupled with lobbying... money is power, right...?

So what would you propose? That we ban lobbying?
1 up, 3y
Yes.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
It's not a gotcha question...you failed to specify and I know for a fact professional lobbyists can be incredibly persuasive and often misleading, having seen and worked with them in the past. I'm trying to avoid assumptions here.

Right...you do realize that not all lobbying involves money. What you're proposing is that we ban any group from advocating for or against legislation, leaving deliberations purely up to the legislators and whoever is informing them on given policy.

Maybe you've never worked or observed a legislative environment, but I assure you plenty of people come in to lobby for or against legislation with nothing but words. Banning pro/opponents from speaking to legislators is probably the most effective way I can think of to take the voice of people out of deliberation over legislation.
1 up, 3y
When I speak on banning lobbying, I am referring to the use of money associated with lobbying to "support the legislator" by "donating" to their next campaign.

People should always be free to go to their legislator and talk about their concerns and why they think the legislator should vote a certain way.

Please avoid semantics and let's speak on what I'm talking about. I don't have time for gotcha questions.
