*he stands up* "do you know why we're here?"

Anna; *startles, pulling a dagger out, then relaxing when she sees him* Well, I know a bit of it

"yes im very confused"

Anna: *puts her dagger away* Apparently it’s some sort of coming of age thing, wivin come and hunt us and when they capture us they become “adults”

" o h o k so what if we don't get caught?"

Anna: We live out our lives in these walls

"well that sucks. ever tried making a ladder?"

Anna: You can’t get close enough to the wall to use a ladder

"how long have you been here?"

Anna: I was born here

"oh no. has anyome escaped?"

Anna: Maybe one or two, but only people who where born here have a chance

"because they dont have this?" *he points to his collar*

Anna: Yep, *she touches her own collar* but even then it’s only one chance…

"oh... how strong are they?"

Anna: Pretty strong.. and the walls are very well guarded.. when you got caught you get a collar and then it’s over

"what happens if they're removed?"

Anna: What do you mean?

*he lifts an arm, and his cloak falls away to reveal he has one normal right hand, and three robotic, three clawed ones* "these are pretty strong. I bet I ciuld rip it off"

Anna: You can’t

"let me try" *he grips the sides and pulls as hard as he can*

*the collar tightens making it hard to breath*

*he gasps and lets go* "ghhh!"

*cough* "ive pierced wyvernhide with these what the hell is this made of?"

"oh god... so im really stuck huh?"

Anna: Yep

"well... are there any other people you know of?"

Anna: An entire village actually

"wait, so you are all bunched into one clump they could attack at any moment?" *he tosses his cloak back on*

Anna: The wivin always hunt alone, and there are always two or three guards awake. If a wivin attacked, and some do, they die pretty quickly

"so they are only as powerful as two or three people?"

Anna: Yep

"oh ok. so where is this villiage?"

Anna: This way *starts walking

*he follows* "so, how big is this place?"

Anna: The forest?

"just the inside of the wall, if it is all forest then yes"

Anna; If you go along the border it takes about two weeks to go all the way around

"well thats... large"

Anna: Yeah

"huh. do you have spare collars? like from people who died to the wivin?"

Anna: Well the wivin capture people, not kill them, as far as we know

"so they capture us... in order to capture us?"

Anna: Yeah, it’s kinda weird. It’s for some sort of coming of age thing

"oh ok. so not even a fully grown man can take a teenage wivin? man, im happy the adults dont do this as well."

Anna: Well, some Wivin are weak enough for anyone with proper training to take on. The ones that aren’t you just have to outrun and lead them to the village. We have a slight advantage since they need to get a piece of jewelry on us, and they seem to want to hurt us as little as possible when they are. The ones with earrings are the easiest

"that sounds hilarious. you're trying to impale them with spears and stuff and they are trying to give you jewlery"

Anna: Yeah

"huh"

Anna; I’m Anna by the way

"Mortem. not my real name, ive long forgot that but its latin for death, and I can do this" *he snaps a branch off a tree, holds it up and it fades into ash*

Anna: Woah

"well it has a lot of drawbacks. plants are easier than animals, only works on living things, incredibly exhausting to do, largest I can manage without fainting is a snowshoe hare so far and if I try too hard for too long its a double edged sword" *he takes his glove off and you see many scars and blackened parts* "used to be easier with two hands but one was damaged from going too far -I tried a deer- and I got in a fight. and it got ripped off"
