They are a DDR gimmick that look similar to arrows, but drain your health if you hit one of them.

Dialogue: Ska: After beating Rena, Boyfriend is ready to take on Rena's mom, Emi!
Emi: You beat my daughter. Cool. I'll handle it from here. I'll admit, when Girlfriend killed me, I wanted to say some final words.
Boyfriend: Okay. Go easy on me! I need a break after that last battle with Rena!
Emi: I won't go easy on you! Rena is crying! I tried taking her to my parent's computer store to calm her down, but she was still crying! If you aren't going to date her, you have to earn my approval to date your girlfriend!
Boyfriend: Woah woah woah! Easy with the threats! I already have permission to date her.
Emi: And who gave you permission?
Girlfriend: My parents!
Emi: I still won't let him date you!

Note: Emi canonically does not like computers, but I thought Emi might want to take Rena to her parent's computer store

Horatio Dialogue: Emi: Wow you beat me. I'm actually surprised! That was a really difficult song! How did you beat me? Boyfriend: Simple. Rapping is a lot easier than dancing. Emi: Well, here comes another one! And this time, I really won't go easy! I hope you like dying........ A LOT. Boyfriend: This game is rated T for Teen....
Rena: Hello again Boyfriend.
Emi: Rena? What are you doing here? I told you to stay with Rage!
Rena: I got bored. I wanted to cheer you on, Mom!
Emi: Thanks, Rena!
Rage: She's your daughter all right.

Emi: OK. If you insist.
Rena: Mom, don't. Go easy on him. He was only joking, right Boyfriend.
Boyfriend: Of course I was.
Rena: See, Mom?
Boyfriend: But nothing can truly challenge me after fighting Sarvente and Ruv's non-canon son!
Selever: Oh wow I get a mention.
Rena: Who are you?
Selever: I'm that son that Boyfriend mentioned.
Boyfriend: OK Selever go back to the nothing world.
Selever: *cries in non-canon*
Boyfriend: Um... where were we?
Emi: You know, Selever being here inspired me to make arrows that don't even go with the song!
Boyfriend: That still isn't hard enough...
Ruv: FOOLS SHE'S GONNA...
Sarvente: Ruv could you be quiet? I'm trying to watch.
Emi: Ruv was right!
Sarvente and Ruv: WHAT?
Emi: There is 1 part on Boyfriend's side...
Boyfriend: Go on...
Emi: Where you have to hit 3 NOTES AT ONCE!
Ruv: Should we...
Sarvente: Nah leave her alone.
Emi: Though unlike Ruv, this was not intentional.
Ruv: OH NOW YOU WANNA MENTION THE OVERCHARTING BEING INTENTIONAL?
Emi: Someone at Konami just threw their computer down a flight of stairs.

Post-Uh dialogue:
Emi: ...You weren't kidding when you said nothing was gonna stop you. I am beat. I'll pass the dance pad over to Rena.
Rena: MOM! Let Dad have the dance pad. I'm beat.
Rage: Thanks Rena!
