Theories :3 | I think Mothwing’s sign was real. Starclan did say that she was a good medicine cat didn’t they? Much like how when Shadowclan was loosing faith and a group of cats made a fake sign with the two trees crashing together, that then became real when the Starclan cats appeared in person, Mothwing’s sign was at first fake but then became real with Starclan’s approval. Starclan has been shown to be able to make gusts of wind, which they could have used to blow Mothwing’s sign away. Or they could scare some prey over it to carry the sign away.
