Then you would need to smelt the cobble into stone, and then smelt that into smoothstone. Then mine 5 more iron andsmelt it as well. Then craft it. That takes so long Conterproductive

also im not implying that leather armor is better, only it takes less time to craft

All you have to do to get leather armor is punch a cow to get iron you have to make a wooden pickaxe then mine 3 stone then make a stone pickaxe then find iron (you can find easily in ravines) then get 22 iron then smelt 22 iron then craft all the armor

no it didnt, its still the exact same process, all they changed about iron and gold is fortune now works with them

You can’t use them as chump towers, like dirt.

And you can’t place them on the ground as storage, you’d have to turn it into raw iron blocks.

i mean like a: why would you need chump towers and b: it is much easier and common practiced to put them in chests?

See, say you fing yourself trapped in a hole and need to get out. You have iron ore handy after mining some (because we always mine stuff we don’t need), what do you do? Nerd tower up with the ore.

Answer cont. I live on a mountain with little trees, I only have a singular large chest. I don’t go out often because even with full diamond and a knockback 2 netherite sword, hard mode has normal zombies getting to maul you if in hordes.
