Pneumatic and pneumonia are completely different words

I call this the hyper-hypo mistake. Here’s how I got the name. Hyper and hypo are prefixes. People who make the hyper-hypo mistake think that they would mean the same thing since they both start with hyp. But they actually mean the opposite. Hyper means high, hypo means low.

But only extremely dumb people make this mistake. I didn’t even have a word for it until I found this.

somebody else did the same thing saying that gamers caused covid because one variant is called the gamma variant and gamma and gamer sounds similar, while actually, gamma is a letter in the greek alphabet, and those are what they're calling the variants now(greek letters)
