that is a good question, forgive me for the pedantry, in fact human have whiskers and they are the furs inside the nose. you have to imagine human nose as an animal nose pulled inside a proboscis to help it stay wet easily and not get frozen. When you cut the furs inside your nose you are cutting your whiskers.
