Which one talks about the horrors of the cultural revolution? Does one of them address the systemic failures of the CCP that killed 10s of millions of Chinese citizens with ideologically driven policies that where inherently ridiculous? Does either talk about how communism, especially Maoism, are intrinsically flawed and are incapable of producing a functioning state and how this was the reason that Deng Xiaoping had to resort to state capitalism after Mao’s death? Is that covered anywhere?
Is there a footnote in either of these books that describes the tragedy of the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989?
