So basically, in the world Scorch used to live in, there was no color. Scorch, being from that world, can only see things in black and white. he noticed people searching for something, he asked one of the people why and the person told him about seeing a bird with color. Scorch started to feel sus about it but walked off anyway. he noticed Prism, the bird people were searching for due to its powers. A flash occurred which ended up becoming the reason why Scorch can now only see colors of people he ends up becoming close to. The citizens noticed them staring at each other and Prism flew off. Scorch turns into a bird himself to chase after it until they got to a specific location, where Prism flew into some sort of rhombus-shaped portal. Scorch was upset since he was tired of seeing the same color, grey, black, and white.. and that possibly, the bird may be his chance to finally see other colors. but he was determined to search for Prism for the one thing he needed, and possibly what his world also needs.
Later, at his apartment, there was a light coming from a mirror he has. that’s when he saw Lux (who in his point of view, was still grey), and thinking he was an imposter or something, he aimed his gun through the mirror just in case and ended up almost shooting him. flames were behind Lux just in case this ended up happening, a fight or chase ensued afterwards-
